A sing-along for Scots like Paul McBride QC RIP who merrily put their lives in Pakistani
hands.
We're on the march with Aamer's armyWe're going with the Paki manAnd we'll really shake them upWhen we drink his poisoned cupBecause we're dying for the Pakistani man
March 2012, the funeral of top Scottish lawyer Paul McBride QC, who died suddenly in Pakistan after meeting with Pakistani military officers secretly supporting the Taliban to kill our soldiers in Afghanistan, less than a year after Pakistan's number 1 terrorist secret agent, Osama Bin Laden, had been killed by U.S. Special Forces at the direction of U.S. President Barack Obama, when Bin Laden was tracked by the CIA to a safehouse near the Pakistani military academy, situated among the homes of retired senior Pakistani military officers.
Was McBride poisoned by the Pakistanis? Was he led like a lamb to the slaughter by solicitor advocate Aamer Anwar, doing his duty as a member of the Pakistani diaspora? We may never know all of Pakistan's secrets.
Attending McBride's funeral - the then First Minister of Scotland, Alex Salmond, Celtic FC manager Neil Lennon, Lawyer Donald Findlay, Tommy & Gail Sheridan, among many other famous Scots from the law, football and politics.
